Description

The Five Ways to Wellbeing is a mental health promotion framework that was created in the United Kingdom and has been implemented in communities across the globe. The framework provides five simple actions that can be applied in a variety of ways to promote positive mental health and wellbeing in everyday life across the lifespan – be active by moving more; take notice to be mindful of surroundings and experiences; keep learning new things and developing new skills; give back to the community and help others; and connect to develop strong, meaningful relationships.

The Waterloo Region Mental Health Work Group is hosting a half-day workshop to:

1) Examine how the Five Ways to Wellbeing can be implemented in local organizations;

2) Discuss potential challenges to implementation; and

3) Identify resources required for successful implementation

Please share this invitation with others in your organization or network who may be interested in attending. Be sure to register by Thursday March 16, 2017, as space is limited!

Parking is free and available onsite. Additionally, the centre is fully accessible and conveniently located within close walking distance of public transit. Visit Grand River Transit (www.grt.ca) for route information and schedules.
